The 'Trojan Horse' of our times?

By The Bakersfield Californian

The illegal immigration of children from Central America by way of Mexico represents a dangerous disease potential for the United States population. Border Patrol agents say the flow of immigrants has been so overwhelming that authorities have not had the time or resources to perform medical screenings. "We are starting to see chicken pox, MRSA staph infections; we are starting to see different viruses," Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agent Chris Cabrera said, according to media outlets.

Without medical screening and the random distribution of the "refugees" throughout our country (often to unrevealed locations), are we at risk of exposing ourselves to epidemics of these diseases? With only 20 percent of refugees showing up for their immigration hearings, we don't know where the others are. Are we as a nation willing to expose our population to potentially devastating epidemics through the Trojan Horse of illegal immigration? Or, should we immediately secure the border and start sending these children home? We need to express our opinions to Congress now.
