Thanks to a veteran
By The Bakersfield Californian
At Home Depot on a recent Saturday, while trying to pick out a new kitchen faucet, a gentleman came by and said to me, "Hope you pick out a good one."
He not only stopped to help me, but he walked up with me to the checkout counter. As I was getting ready to pay, he said, "I can save you 10 percent," and he pulled out his veterans card and handed it to the cashier. We walked out together and he handed me his business card and said, "I hope it works out for you."
Gary Howard of Contracting Services Co., I said thank you, but I forgot to say thank you for serving our country!
