The city of Chicago is cutting ties with Redflex, its red-light camera vendor, after an investigation revealed that the company provided free trips worth thousands of dollars to the city official in charge of the traffic camera program. Now as a result, Redflex appears to be in turmoil, with the chairman of its parent company (and others) resigning.
It's been mentioned in previous Californian articles that Redflex is the red-light camera vendor used by the city of Bakersfield. This new information begs the question: Do we know if any Bakersfield city officials have ever been provided with any trips or other gifts from Redflex?
