Pray for our leaders and country
By The Bakersfield Californian
Regarding the Nov. 9 letter "The woolly mammoth party": I am a Hispanic woman and know many Hispanics of all age groups who are Republican. We are Republican because we believe the Republican Party best represents our Judeo-Christian values and that it best represents the ideology of our Founding Fathers, upon which this great nation and our great Constitution were founded.
We Hispanic Republicans accept that President Obama has been re-elected and we will continue to pray for our president, all our elected leaders and for our great country, the United States of America.
Let us all, as citizens of this great nation, remember what the late President John F. Kennedy (also a Democrat) said: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
