She'll be paying it forward
By The Bakersfield Californian
On Thursday night, I ran by Starbucks on Olive Drive to pick up hot chocolate for my little guy and coffee for the family. I got up to the window, and the barista advised me that my order had been paid for by the couple in front of me. She also mentioned to them that she knew me, and was sure I would want them to know I said "thank you" as soon as I realized what had happened. Well, I did.
In the past, I have had the amazing opportunity to pay it forward myself. Regardless of the day you're having, or the problem you may be facing, it feels amazing to simply give. It doesn't matter how much or how little. It matters only that it comes from the heart.
To the couple in the light green SUV in front of me -- thank you. Please know, your kindness did not go unnoticed, and I will most definitely pay it forward.
