Am I the only one who is alarmed by the huge amounts of homework students are faced with every day?
As soon as they get home from school, they start doing their homework with a break for dinner -- then back to the homework until sometimes as late as 2 a.m. Then back to the same routine the next day with not enough sleep. The parents are desperately trying to help -- and the students might as well be home-schooled then.
Have you noticed how quiet your neighborhood is after school? The kids are inside doing their homework. They're missing all the carefree joys of childhood -- playing, reading, riding their bikes or just daydreaming.
I think school administrators should take a good look at their teachers. If these "teachers" expect the parents to do their job, then these teachers are not teaching. Parents unite!
