Where are the hedgerows? Did not the residents of the San Joaquin Valley learn from history or have the sorrows of the Dust Bowl been relegated to one line in the history books?
Where are the environmentalists and the Sierra Club when our top soil is "blowing in the wind?" Think of all the pesticides and chemicals blowing into our lungs.
Plant hedgerows and trees. They only take a narrow strip of land out of every 10 or 20 acres and they provide shelter for small animals, save the topsoil and help keep our lungs chemical free.
