Thanks to helpful folks at Kern County Law Library
By The Bakersfield Californian
I want to express my appreciation for the Self-Help Center at the Kern County Law Library. My daughter is trying to do a guardianship for her grandchildren, and I have been trying to help her. The people there are knowledgeable, kind and helpful.
For those who are computer-literate (which luckily includes me and my daughter), the process is relatively painless. Of course, when we took the paperwork to file it, we were told that there is one guardianship clerk, and it will take four to six weeks before she can look at it. I think, however, we have everything we need and the rest of the procedure should go well. Thanks again, Self-Help Center!
