The Dec. 20 news article "Two resentenced to time served under changes to Three Strikes law" made my blood boil. Pedro Marin Jr. and Randy Lee Johnson are going to walk among us very soon, despite lengthy criminal histories that included despicable acts of violence.
Marin went to prison for robbing a pregnant woman of her purse. Johnson went to prison for robbing a victim, tying the victim up and threatening to kill the victim.
Both were sentenced to life in prison for their continual heinous acts of violence upon innocent victims. Common sense tells me that they should be in prison forever.
Despite the happy photos in the paper of their family members after hearing that these two career criminals are going to be released, I for one disagree with this action and believe that those who choose to become career criminals should remain behind bars and make our society a bit safer.
