Pam Wildermuth was absolutely on target with her Community Voices piece ("On the rug that embodies U.S., tea party is just useless fringe," Oct. 18).
Her comments were not a joke and they where not insightful of the left's though processes. The point she made was simply that it is fine to want the government get out of debt, stop spending "frivolously" (please define) and stop burdening our grandchildren. The libs do not disagree with any of these concepts. What they disagree with is how we get there. You do not get there by being the party of no. You get there by doing the research and developing reasonable and achievable objectives and then presenting, explaining and presenting those objectives. If the tea party can do that, they will become valuable and contributing members of Congress. If they cannot, they will become irritating dinosaurs.
