Twinkie fix getting harder to come by
By The Bakersfield Californian
I get up every morning and wonder if I am the only person that has been greatly affected by the Hostess crisis. I think many of us are suffering alone. I know this because I too scrambled to the grocery stores, gas stations, mini markets and any other store that may carry the Hostess brands only to find empty shelves.
I grew up with the Zingers, Twinkies, powdered doughnuts and strawberry-filled powdered doughnuts. As I type this, my mouth water. I may need to go on a junk food run.
I read the newspaper on a daily basis and no one has written a letter about these Hostess gems being gone. Is there anyone else out there experiencing such dismay and total denial that these goodies may be gone forever? As for me, I will miss you, Hostess!
