Won't be easy, but we'll survive

By The Bakersfield Californian

After reading Mark Martinez's Nov. 7 Community Voices article, "Why President Obama won," my first thought was, "I hope he doesn't teach from the same extreme liberal position from which this article was written."

Barack Obama was once part of an obstructionist Congress that attempted to hamstring President George W. Bush in his pursuit of getting things done. Obama shied away from calling the Benghazi attack terrorism, instead blaming it on an anti-Muslim video. He did not want to admit that there had been a terrorist attack on American soil on his watch. He, along with Hillary Clinton, chose to spend $70,000 of our tax dollars on commercials apologizing to the Muslim world for the controversial video that offended what Clinton called a "great religion."

And Obama himself has been evasive about his education and his birth certificate. Was he really born in Hawaii?

Being a veteran, and growing up reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, I was ashamed of our president when they showed a photo of him without his hand over his heart during the playing of the national anthem.

Obama is the perfect president for a country which is rapidly becoming an entitlement society. In conclusion, I noticed that Obama gave no acknowledgement to the man who trumps his very "authority," Jesus Christ. It's been way too long since we had a Christian, God-fearing man in the White House. But we survived the last four years, and we will survive the next four. Thank God for term limits!
