Just the sight of gifts lifts spirits
By The Bakersfield Californian
We have three foster children: sisters, 9, 6 and 3 years old. We have enjoyed them the six months they have been here. But this week was one of the most enjoyable. Their case worker had submitted their names for Christmas presents.
They received those presents on Wednesday. They haven't opened one yet. But I can't imagine that they could be any happier when they open their presents on Christmas Day than they were to see those beautifully wrapped presents under the tree that day.
Whoever you are, and all of you that gave: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
