Fresh and local meats, vegetables, fruits and wines will be served at the 4th annual Bounty of Kern County to celebrate local agriculture.
Tuesday on "First Look with Scott Cox," Beatris Sanders from the Kern County Farm Bureau, gave details of the October event.
"We are celebrating what is grown here in Kern County," Sanders said.
Proceeds from the event will go toward Kern County Farm Bureau's efforts in promoting, protecting and strengthening Kern County's agricultural interests.
The event also includes "Derby Races" featuring company sponsored horses racing against each other, Sanders said.
Cocktails start at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 18. Dinner begins promptly at 7 p.m. and the derby entertainment kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
