It has a roughly 20,000-square-foot community center. It has a true double gym that's almost 18,000-square-feet, a solid maple floor and a state-of-the-art cushioning system to lessen the impact on your joints.

It's the new Riverlakes Ranch Community Center & Park, and it opens Saturday with a party from 6 to 8 p.m., Lisa Plank, marketing director at North of the River Recreation & Park District, said Friday on "First Look with Scott Cox.

"This one is exceptional. You guys need to come out and check it out," Plank said of the center at 3825 Riverlakes Drive.

The new facility includes an 8.1-acre park and three large picnic shelters that can seat 330 people. It's big enough to host a wedding, Plank said.

The grand opening will include refreshments, a ribbon-cutting and Ron Saylor the Magician.

And the first 400 people to show up will get a free Juicy Burger hamburger, Plank said. There will also be giveaways for the first 400 people "who are willing to brave the heat," she added.

The venue is NOR's 24th park and fifth community center.

"You can go to any of parks all the time, any time," Plank said.

The park was created with a combination of developer fees, grant funding and federal money.
