If you're looking for free fireworks this Independence Day, look no further than Bright House Networks Amphitheatre.

The Fourth at River Walk -- Independence Day Celebration will take place from 5 to 9:30 p.m. July 4, Ed Dorsey, the assistant general manager of Rabobank Arena, said Thursday on "First Look with Scott Cox."

It's the second annual July 4th event at the park, but this year fireworks are added. They'll go off at about 9:15 p.m.

"It's going to be a big fireworks show," Dorsey said.

There will be games for kids for a nominal fee, and food and drink for sale. You can also bring your own.

Live music comes from Foster Campbell & Friends and the Sunnyside Jazz Band.

"Every part of town should have a place you can go" for safe fireworks, simulcast host Scott Cox said.

The event is sponsored by Dignity Health and Bright House.

Parking will be available across Stockdale Highway. Last year's event drew about 1,500 people; Dorsey expects thousands more this year with the addition of fireworks.

Dorsey also highlighted two other events: Air Supply is at 7 p.m. this Saturday. And the Summerland Tour 2013 is at 7 p.m. Sunday.
