Since October 2012, Critters Without Litters has spayed or neutered about 11,000 animals.
Wednesday on "First Look with Scott Cox," Vicky Thrasher and Larry Keller from the organization joined Californian columnist Lois Henry to talk about a fundraiser set for Thursday.
"We want to thank everyone who has supported us and we also want to provide information to those that don't know what we do," Thrasher said.
Critters Without Litters is a nonprofit that provides high-volume, high-quality, subsidized companion animal sterilization.
On a typical day, Thrasher said, veterinarians see 50 to 60 appointments. Because of the high volume, two doctors are in the office every day.
People who visit the organization usually hear about the services by word of mouth from a friend, co-worker or family member, Thrasher said.
Henry noted the convenient prices the organization offers to clients, with a top price of about $80 for a large female dog.
Even with affordable prices, Critters Without Litters takes vouchers, with 35 percent of their clients using them to get an even greater discount.
Join the Critters Without Litters staff at Red Brick Pizza, 9500 Brimhall Road, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A generous portion of the proceeds will be donated to Critters.
