When we reach big anniversaries of nation-changing events, we often ask each other where we were, what we were doing, how it changed our own lives. A month from now we will reach 50 years since one of the most traumatic events in modern times -- the Nov. 22, 1963, assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
As part of our special coverage of the anniversary, we'd like to publish your recollections of that sad day. Please send your thoughts, 350 words maximum, to City Editor Christine Bedell at email@example.com or The Bakersfield Californian, c/o Christine Bedell, P.O. Bin 440, Bakersfield, CA, 93302.
Please also send a photo of yourself, if possible.
For questions, call 395-7417. Please submit by Nov. 12.
