It could be a rift, a power struggle or a difference of personalities.

That is the lingering question Californian columnist Lois Henry talked about Wednesday on "First Look with Scott Cox," discussing the working relationship between Bakersfield City Councilman Terry Maxwell and City Manager Alan Tandy.

The biggest issue that exists between the two, in Henry's opinion, is the 24th Street widening project.

Maxwell has a personal interest in the project because he lives in the area that will be affected but the widening is for the greater good of the city, Henry said.

"I'm hoping that Maxwell and Tandy find a way to work together," Henry said.
