Horse rescue ranch target of fundraiser

Bit-O-Heaven Horse Ranch, a nonprofit rescue ranch that cares for neglected or abandoned horses, will hold a "Cowboy Dinner Fundraiser" beginning at 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at Champs BBQ, 35315 Merle Haggard Drive in Bakersfield.

Country and bluegrass music will be on tap at the event.

Tickets are $65 per person. Proceeds will go toward feeding and caring for some 35 horses at the ranch located southwest of Bakersfield.

Tickets can be purchased at Champs, from Tony Lee at the Buckley radio complex 3651 Pegasus Drive #107, or online at ilovechampsbbq.com.
