American Heart Association is looking for bilingual volunteers to help with Menudo Cook Off Sunday at the Latino Food Festival at the Kern County Fairgrounds Budweiser Pavilion. Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Find out how you can support American Heart Association contact Karen Giannetta call 559-435-5246 or email Karen.Gianneta@heart.org.

Volunteer Center of Kern County is looking for assistance in collecting fans 5 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday in this year's Keep Kern County Cool Fan Drive at KGET TV 17, 22nd and M streets. Please call Jennifer at 395-9787 to sign up.

The Kern County Nut Festival is being held at the Kern County Museum June 15. Volunteers are needed in three shifts: 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 1-4:30 p.m. and 4:30-8 p.m. For more information on how you can get involved with this fun day contact Steve Sanders at stsanders@kern.org.

B.A.R.C. is looking for volunteers to help with their booth at the Kern County Nut festival June 15. Volunteers can help with the food booth and merchandise sales in three shifts: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 1- 4 p.m. and 4- 7 p.m. For more information on how you can volunteer with B.A.R.C. contact Michelle Garland at 834-2272 ext. 278.

Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County offers relief to families who have a loved one suffering from an illness that requires around-the-clock attention by providing a day care, support groups and classes, at no cost. ADAKC is hosting a free seminar for caregivers June 22 at Hodel's. The Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for another Chamber Palooza 6-10 p.m. July 12 at the Kern County Museum. Volunteer positions are: food passport stamper, greeter/ticket exchange, silent auction attendant and volunteer floater.
