If you're going to eat a lot, be sure to exercise. That was one of several messages Dr. Vipul Dev, a board eligible plastic surgeon, said Friday on "First Look with Scott Cox."
It doesn't cut it to say you exercise at work if what you really do is walk for five minutes after sitting at a desk for two hours straight, Dev said. It's not enough of a workout for your heart.
He also explained that once people hit their 30s and 40s, it's harder to lose truncal fat.
And he talked about his work in wound care, saying it's rewarding because people who need that service are so happy there are people who can help them.
"The wound care stuff is a need," Dev said, adding that a lot of communities don't have a place for wound care but really need it.
"You do it because it's fun, it's rewarding. You can help a lot of people out," Dev said.
