Nothing says holiday cheer like Christmas caroling, hot chocolate, cookies and a chance to create your own art.

The Bakersfield Museum of Art invites the community to take part in their Free Family Day from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Friday on "First Look with Scott Cox," Matt Munoz and Leslie Aldridge Wilson from the museum shared details of the activities families can expect.

"We have art projects for all ages and children can go on a search for Artie the Elf hidden in the museum," Munoz said.

After kids find a specific number of "Arties," they will unscramble a word and win a society of secret agents pin.

Besides art projects, there will be live music from bands including Truxton Mile, Mariachi Juvenil Mestizos.

Admission is free and more than 1,000 people are expected at the museum, 1930 R St. For more information, visit bmoa.org.
