A nutty good time awaits this Saturday at the Kern County Nut Festival.

Everything related to nuts -- food, drinks, games and well, even nuts themselves including pistachios, almonds and walnuts -- will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kern County Museum.

Beth Pandol from the festival stopped by "First Look with Scott Cox" Thursday to give people last-minute details.

Already 3,000 tickets are out, and organizers would love to have 5,000 or more people there, Pandol said.

Simulcast host Scott Cox was particularly concerned about drinks and music.

Said Pandol: "There will be plenty of beverages for everyone."

Cox, on the music, praised "not just the number but the quality of the people."

Pandol urged the public to buy tickets and Nut Bucks -- needed for food and beverages -- ahead of time.
