George Lopez first stood on stage as a stand-up comedian in 1979 at age 18.

"There is nothing scarier than being in front of strangers; it's the hardest thing to do," Lopez said via telephone Thursday on "First Look with Scott Cox."

Lopez will be bringing his comedy to the Rabobank Theater & Convention Center on Saturday.

After years of doing sitcom with the show "George Lopez," which ran for six seasons on ABC, Lopez is now on FX with his new premier show "Saint George."

"It gets a little bit edgy," he said. "The promo says parental guidance required to watch, I've never been a part of that."

Tickets for Saturday's show can be bought at the box office or on ticketmaster.com. The show kicks off at 8 p.m.
