The Secret Witness Program is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects wanted in connection with the double homicide at a medical marijuana dispensary last week, and a tip Tuesday regarding the location of one of the suspects failed to turn him up.

Aaron Patrick Burris, 32, and a female suspect have been identified by police as the two involved in the July 17 killings at the First Reliable marijuana collective at 217 Chester Ave. Police said Devin Daniels and Tony Conrad Sherman were shot and killed during a robbery at the collective.

Police went about 9 a.m. Tuesday to the Howard Johnson Inn at 2700 White Lane after receiving information that Burris was spotted there, police spokeswoman Michaela Beard said. Numerous hotel rooms were searched but officers were unable to locate Burris.

Beard said anyone who spots the suspects should not approach them as they are considered armed and dangerous.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Burris or the identity of the female suspect contact the

Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111, Detective Cox at 326-3514 or the Secret Witness line at 322-4040.

The Secret Witness phone line operates 24 hours a day. Callers will be asked to select a code name and code number when they provide information, and should additional contact with the caller be necessary the code name will be published along with a request for the original caller to establish contact.

Secret Witness is operated under the direction of an independent, voluntary board of directors representing civic organizations, law enforcement agencies, media outlets and corporate sponsors.
