They're the movies that will give you nightmares. The kind that have you under a blanket when you hear strange noises inside your house.
It's the top 20 scariest Halloween movies.
Wednesday on "First Look with Scott Cox," Michael Hopper of "NERD WORLD Report with Hop and Herc," listed the scariest Halloween movies people can watch tomorrow night.
The movie poll was from Entertainment Weekly and "The Shining" of 1980 was listed as No.1.
This movie has scared simulcast host Scott Cox for many years. "It gets me every time even though I know what's going to happen," Cox said. "It's brilliant."
The movie "Jaws" of 1975 made it to No. 5 on the list and both Cox and Hopper agreed they both thought twice about going into the ocean after seeing the movie.
But just like every scary-movie-junkie that likes the adrenaline of being scared, there are those that prefer to stay far away from any movies that will give them nightmares.
Jamie Butow, Californian community engagement coordinator, is one that prefers to watch anything but scary movies. She was seven years old when she watched "Gremlins," a horror movie about a strange pet that turns evil, and everything changed after that.
"I had nightmares after watching that movie and ever since then, I just don't like to be scared," Butow said over the phone.
