BHS will now represent Kern County in the California Academic Decathlon March 15 to 18 in Sacramento.
In Academic Decathlon, teams of nine students compete in 10 events: art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, social science, speech and a written and oral "super quiz" to win both individual and team awards.
Frontier High won the "Milo E. Hall" Super Quiz trophy, an award that goes to the winner of the oral relay, TV-quiz style portion of the decathlon (Stockdale High placed second and BHS placed third).
