The November issue of Bakersfield Life magazine is packed with 170 glossy pages of Bakersfield goodness.

That's what Jorge Barrientos, the magazine's assistant managing editor, said Thursday on "First Look with Scott Cox."

The cover of the magazine is a Thanksgiving place setting, but it's not all about the fall season. It's also the auto issue.

Forty-two cars with a model year of 2014 are highlighted. The magazine photographed a luxurious sports car, a white Lexus LFA, worth more than $350,000.

"We didn't get to test drive it," Barrientos said. "We weren't even allowed to lean on it."

Along with other Thanksgiving decorating ideas, there are also food pictures and a story on Bakersfield's six sister cities.

Expect your magazine this Saturday.
