For the first time at the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, you can buy what you like and see from vendors, not just pick up their information to contact them later.
The Expo, which runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rabobank Convention Center, is the largest in the area and chamber President/CEO Cindy Pollard is expecting a big turnout.
"We have about 148 vendors and we expect 2,000 people tonight," Pollard said Thursday on "First Look with Scott Cox."
There will be hair and clothing styling tips from local businesses as well as a cooking demonstration from Robert Alimirzaie, executive chef of the Petroleum Club of Bakersfield.
The entrance fee is $5 but you can get in for free if you print a free admission coupon from the chamber's website.
Visit www.bakersfieldchamber.org for the coupon or for more information.
