Want to see golf balls fall from a helicopter?

Then make your way to the Riverlakes Ranch Golf Course Friday, Oct. 11, when the Bakersfield Association of Realtors holds a Golf Ball Drop to benefit three local charities.

"You can contribute without having to golf," Bruce Barnhard, commercial investor with Tobias Real Estate, said Tuesday on "First Look with Scott Cox."

The money raised will go to the local Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Wounded Heroes Fund.

Barnhard said he hopes they can have as many as 2,000 golf balls falling from the sky.

Tickets can be purchased for $20 for one ball, or $100 for six golf balls. Golf balls will be numbered after each purchase.

The drop happens at 5:30 p.m. If your golf ball lands closest to the hole, you win the grand prize, Barnhard said.

The grand prize is listed as $100,000. A first prize of $2,500 and a second prize of $1,000 are guaranteed winners, Barnhard said.

For more information or to purchase tickets call the association at 635-2300.
