Racers, start your engines!
The biggest race of the year is back -- March Meet-- and it's bringing more than 500 competitors from all over the world.
Lightly put, it's the Daytona 500 NASCAR Race for drag racing fans.
That is what Auto Club Famoso Raceway general manager Blake Bowser said Friday on "First Look with Scott Cox."
The Nostalgia Funny Cars have taken over at the raceway and already racers are testing the black asphalt, Bowser said.
Simulcast host Scott Cox talked about his appreciation for nostalgia drag racing.
"These cars mimic what they looked like in the '70s," Cox said. "You haven't done racing right if you haven't experienced it in person, soaking up that rubber smell or car sound."
The four big days of racing are March 6 to 9.
