By The Bakersfield Californian
After playing the parts of vice president, treasurer, secretary and regular board member on the Kern County Bar Association 's board of directors, Kern County Deputy District Attorney Chad A. Louie will take the lead as president in 2012.
Born and raised in Bakersfield, Louie earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. He attended Loyola Law School and is coming up on seven years with the Kern County District Attorney's office.
As president of the board, Louie said his goals include developing community service programs and providing "substantial benefits" to members. He noted that with nearly 450 members, the association has "a really remarkable participation rate" for a voluntary local bar association.
The other 2012 board officers are: Vice President Lisa Holder, Treasurer Jennifer E. Zahry, Secretary Seth O'Dell and immediate past President Brett L. Price. The directors are Carol R. Bracy, Lynne Carrithers, Matt Faulkner, Gabriel Godinez, Tim Kleier, Isaac St. Lawrence, C.M. "Bud" Starr, Karen Gaul Wallace and James Yoro.
