Wheelchair-bound woman dies after hit and run accident

A 46-year-old woman in a wheelchair died Sunday after a hit and run driver struck her Saturday night as she attempted to cross Union Avenue.
Guadalupe Delgadillo had been crossing in a cross walk in the 800 block of Union Avenue at 8:28 p.m. Saturday when an unknown vehicle hit her and fled the scene, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
She died at 3 a.m. the following day at Kern Medical Center. An autopsy will be scheduled.
