Man cuts security guard at Tilted Kilt
By The Bakersfield Californian
A pair of brothers who had too much to drink at a restaurant over the weekend were allegedly involved in the stabbing of one of the restaurant’s security guards.
Ramon Tapia, 23, and Efrain Tapia, 29, were asked to leave the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday after inappropriately touching a waitress, Bakersfield police said. The brothers went outside and a fight began between them and security officers.
Ramon Tapia pulled a knife and cut a security guard on the arm, police said. The guard suffered minor injuries.
The brothers ran, but police found them soon after the incident.
Ramon Tapia was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and public intoxication, and Efrain Tapia was arrested on suspicion of battery and public intoxication, police said.
