We may think of the Kern County Fair as all fun and games — and a lot of food. But Wednesday morning, youngsters heard some important safety information, too.

Smokey Bear — along with some helpful adults — taught kids about how to stop, drop and roll if fire strikes.

Californian photographer Casey Christie was at the fair to capture the learning.
