Mechanical bull riding, barbecue, laser tag, live music and more can be expected at the Third Thursday event in downtown Bakersfield on Thursday.

Put together by the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association, the spring celebration is the first big event of the year for the association, Melanie Farmer with the Bakersfield DBA said Wednesday on "First Look with Scott Cox."

"We have something for everyone," Farmer said. "Just come on down and enjoy what downtown has to offer."

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. along Mill Creek Park.

Farmer invited everyone to bring chairs and blankets to sit and enjoy the live entertainment by featured artist Bryan White. Other local artists and bands will also play at the park.
