State Assemblywoman Shannon Grove, R-Bakersfield, talked about the challenges of working on various legislation during a call to "First Look with Scott Cox" on Wednesday.
"The truth hurts so you speak it out," Grove said. Sometimes, she said, her mic gets cut off on the Assembly floor.
Host Scott Cox asked Grove what she tells people who feel like giving up on California or are concerned about jobs being poached to other states.
Her response: She thinks Democrats are trying to drive out what they don't consider "desireable businesses" such as those involving fracking.
She also talked about what she said is the need to just get the right work accomplished, regardless of whether it's done by Republicans or Democrats.
You can hear Grove talk about specific legislation in the video.
