Search and rescue team locates missing hunter
By THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN
A Kern County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue team headed into the remote Landers Meadow area to search for a missing hunter Sunday. By the end of the day, the hunter was found safe, a department spokesman said Sunday night.
No further details were provided by authorities on the identity of the hunter or how long the individual had been missing.
Landers Meadow is located a few miles east of Piute Peak in the mountainous region between Lake Isabella and Tehachapi.
