Northbound drivers on Interstate 5 Sunday were slowed by midday lane closures from a brush fire.
A blaze sparked by a car fire around 11:20 a.m. near Lake Hughes, north of Santa Clarita, spread to nearby hillsides and shut lanes well into the afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
