Fernando is a white, energetic Chihuahua and he's ready to be adopted.
Friday on "First Look with Scott Cox," Bakersfield SPCA director, Julie Johnson, who also runs the city's shelter on Mount Vernon Avenue, brought Fernando in a colorful green and red sweater that said "Bite Me."
The playful Chihuahua is three months old and weighs three pounds, Johnson said.
"He loves rolling around in your lap," she said.
Fernando's adoption fee is $80. He has all his shots and has been microchipped but still needs to be neutered before he goes to a home.
You can visit Fernando and other pets at the City of Bakersfield Animal Care Center at 201 Mt. Vernon Ave. or call 832-7387.
