The first Macaroni and Cheese Festival last weekend at Cal State Bakersfield was a success. There were 2,500 to 3,000 people at the event and everyone seemed to enjoy the it.

That is what Rogers Brandon, president of American General Media, said Tuesday on "First Look with Scott Cox."

"We had a great time and everyone worked hard," he said.

American General Media put together the festival in Bakersfield.

Californian President and CEO Richard Beene said he really enjoyed the festival.

Because of the great community support to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, Brandon said the mac 'n' cheese festival will return next year.

"Everybody there was inclined to enjoy themselves," Brandon said.

After sampling local restaurants' mac 'n' cheese, the public picked Cafe Med as the overall winner of the festival. The runner-ups were Buck Owens Crystal Palace and Steak & Grape.
