Your opportunity to get tickets for a chance to win this year’s St. Jude Dream Home is quickly fading away — the winning ticket will be drawn Sunday on KERO ABC 23 during a telethon that starts at 9:30 a.m.
Tickets are $100, and offer a chance to win a $500,000 home — or $150,000 in cash instead — and other prizes.
News director Todd Karli talked about the effort to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Friday on “First Look with Scott Cox.”
“It was 100 bucks 10, 11 years ago. Still 100 bucks. And the houses keep getting nicer,” Karli said. He said this year’s house is spectacular.
Lynette Hizon, senior event marketing representative for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, has previously told The Californian that for the past 10 years, the city has been home to a St. Jude Giveaway home and has raised more than $11 million that goes to life-saving treatment.
Call 1-800-385-9134 or visit any Kern Schools Federal Credit Union branch for tickets. This year’s home is at 14604 Henderson Ave. in Bakersfield. Visitors can tour the home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and can enter to win a $7,500 shopping spree at Ashley Furniture HomeStore.
