PG&E customers in Laurelglen lose power

By The Bakersfield Californian

A failed underground cable severed electrical service for thousands of customers in the Laurelglen neighborhood Thursday morning.

Jana Morris, a PG&E spokeswoman, said power was lost at 8:52 a.m. in the 7100 block of Hilton Head Way. Initially, more than 4,100 customers were without electrical service. As of 12:30 p.m., 17 remained without power.

Morris said a crew is on the scene and expects to have full electrical service restored by 10 p.m.

The neighborhood is south of Ming Avenue between Ashe and Gosford roads, north of White Lane.
