Supervisors to face big issues this afternoon

Good morning county watchers! Kern Quirks is back on the job after a couple months off to hang out with a new face in our family.
A lot of things are new these days around the county of Kern as well.
We've got three new board members - causing the most change in the county's highest policy structure in decades.
And today's meeting is expected to be the new board's first tough meeting with a major wind energy project and the future relationship between the oil and agriculture industries on the plate.
But that's this afternoon at 2 p.m.
Today's morning meeting looks pretty tame with a lot of one-shot consent calendar items on the agenda.
