More than 400 students from about 20 Kern High School District campuses will be awarded high school diplomas at 10 a.m. Friday during the district's summer school graduation ceremony at Bakersfield High School.
Graduates will be wearing caps and gowns reflecting the colors of their home school during the ceremony in BHS's Harvey Auditorium.
The majority of those honored will be seniors who, during summer school, earned credits necessary to satisfy KHSD graduation requirements. Some of those to be honored may be graduating early.
Martha Miller, a member of the KHSD board of trustees, will be the ceremony's featured speaker.
