Foothill High to celebrate 50th anniversary

Tickets are now on sale for Foothill High School's 50th anniversary celebration, and also for commemorative plaques for a "Trojan Legacy" wall that will be unveiled during the celebration.

It will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13 at the school, 501 Park Dr. Tickets are $30 for adults, which includes a souvenir bag, admission to festivities in the quad, a catered lunch and admission to the 2 p.m. varsity football game versus East High School. Tickets for children under 12 years old is $15. Tickets at the door are $35 and $18, respectively.

Commemorative wall tiles with a personalized inscription are $100 for a four-by-four inch plaque; and $200 for an eight-by-eight plaque.

A "fifth quarter" event sponsored by the Athletic Booster Club will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Bakersfield Women's Club. It will include music, dancing, and time to socialize with classmates, faculty and friends. Ticket are $7 in advance or $10 at the door.
