Accused pot grower arrested in Rosamond

Over the past several weeks, deputies received information regarding people growing marijuana at a residence in the 5800 Block of Holiday Avenue in Rosamond.
At 3:30 p.m. Monday, deputies served a search warrant at the residence and located 58 pounds of processed marijuana, 199 marijuana plants, a rifle, handgun, and other evidence indicating marijuana sales and cultivation.
Diego Garate, 31, of Rosamond, was arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, and maintaining a place for drug trafficking.
