Pedestrian shot on West Drive, walks to KMC

A 31-year-old man was shot while walking in the 1500 block of West Drive Saturday afternoon, the Kern County Sheriff's Office reported.
A department news release said Jose Torres reported being shot once in the right buttocks at about 4:30 p.m.
The release said Torres heard a single gunshot come from an unknown direction and kept walking until he noticed he had been shot. He walked to Kern Medical Center and was listed in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
