Fire causes $125,000 in damage

At 11:28 a.m. Wednesday, Bakersfield firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 1100 block of Kentucky Street.
There was fire on the first and second floors and in the attic. The fire had also spread to the attic of two attached apartments at the rear of the building.
The structure appeared to be abandoned. The cause is under investigation, and the blaze caused $125,000 in damage.
